Omokoroa No.1 School - Term 2 and 3 Winter Sports Information and Registration

Please see below the sports that may be available to play in Terms 2 and 3. Please note, we can only compete in the various competitions if we have sufficient player numbers and parents to coach and manage the teams. Team sizes are dictated by the number of coaches and managers we have available. If you have never coached or managed a team before and would like information and assistance to get you started please contact Aaron Joe. There is now an option to co-coach where possible.

Netball

Yr 1 & 2

At one lunchtime per week at school. Runs for approx. 8 weeks.

This year we need a parent/grandparent to take this & who is able to go on a workshop prior to start.

Yr 3 & 4

Thursday after school held at the Katikati College Netball Courts (we carpool).

3.30pm to 5pm May 7th starts goes for approx. 15 weeks

Cost - $55 per player

Coach, manager and transport will be required for each team.

Yr 5-8

Saturday morning held at Harbourside Courts at Mount Maunganui (next to Blake Park).

Times: Y8 - 8.30am / Y7 - 9.30am /Y5 & 6 12.30-1.30pm

Cost - $100 per player (includes referee costs)

Grading day Sat 9th May (Y6-8) Competition starts Sat 16th May – 22nd Aug

Coach, manager, umpire and transport will be required for each team.

Saturdays at Tauranga Hockey Centre.

Kiwi Sticks Yr 5 & 6

Saturdays at Tauranga Hockey Centre, Tauranga Boys College, Bethlehem College and Otumoetai Intermediate.

Kwik Sticks Yr 7 & 8 (6 aside only in 2019)

Fridays at Tauranga Hockey Centre, Tauranga Boys College and Bethlehem College.

Little League - Yr 1 and 2

Mondays at QEYC or Trustpower Arena at 4pm-5pm.

To register please complete the form online. The link has been sent to your email address. Please remember that a new registration form needs to be completed for each sport and each child. Thank you.

Registration for all sports must be completed by FRIDAY 27TH MARCH otherwise your child will miss out. Please note, once your child has made a commitment to a team and team lists have been generated, you will be invoiced, because costs are based on the number of people playing in a team in order to reduce individual player costs. Please don’t make any payments until teams have been confirmed and team lists have been sent out. Payment must be paid before your child can participate.

If you have outstanding sports payments from Term 1, you will not be allowed to register your child for Term 2 and 3 sports unless payment arrangements have been with our office.
