Creating patterns with tessellation making.

At 8:30 on the dot, kids dive into Room 14 to begin the day with tessellation making. They have so much fun organising the different colours and shapes to make interesting patterns. What they don't realise is happening, is all the collaborative knowledge building, sharing, problem solving, communicating and creating that is going on while they play. The patterns have become more complex as they experiment with negative space.......boy, we are a smart lot in Room 14!
