Kids to dress up in their favourite book character.

Please bring along a Grandparent (or someone who you identify as a Grandparent figure) for our sharing morning at school.

Unfortunately there is not enough space in the Whanau room for the whole school so only the Grandparents / Adults will be having morning tea. 

Children are encouraged to dress up in their favourite book character (it doesn't have to be Jungle based). Children have been told to use things they have at home already, make a costume etc. The expectation is not that you have to purchase an outfit for this day. An outline of the morning is as below:

8.30 - Children arrive at school as normal

9.00 - Grandparents arrive and meet children. Children take around classes and show work

9.15 - Dress up Parade

10.00 - Morning Tea (Grandparents / Adults only light refreshments in Whanau Room)

10.30 - Book Fair open to purchase books/children back to class

For hosting a Book Fair the school makes a % from the sale of books. We will be using any money made to enhance our literacy programme.
