Bus Split Run

Omokoroa No.1 School —

We will now have a 'Split' bus route into two separate runs, East and West.

Due to a large increase in students needing to use our school bus to get to and from school, getting close to maximum capacity, and ensuring no students have to stand on the bus, we are going to 'Split' the bus route into two separate runs, East and West.

From today (Monday 8th June) we will start an afternoon only split. Once the bus has dropped off students on the Eastern route it will return to school to collect the Western route students. This means that students dropped off from Barret Road to Kaimai Views will arrive approximately 10 minutes later than normal. The bus will drop students on the Eastern route first and then return to school to collect Western route students.

From Monday 15 June we will run both morning and afternoon split routes. This means students picked up from Kaimai Views to Barret Road will be dropped to school in the morning and then the bus will pick up students on the Eastern route and return to school. Eastern route morning pick up will be approximately 10 minutes later than normal.

Our school bus now has a GPS tracker so parents will be able to download a link to see where the bus is on each route each morning and afternoon. This will be upgraded soon with an app version. https://t.trackit.co.nz/map.aspx?r=17296d24-6b9e-4dbd-b2cd-84a93f32d79c&d=5b4991b3-c1ac-4251-9771-f1abb5bcb54a&au=1
