Friends of The Blade

We warmly invite your school community to join our volunteers on SUNDAY 19 NOVEMBER from 10am-12noon, for a community day out.

Come and learn more about what’s involved in protecting our native bush from introduced pests, and enjoy the resurgence in birdlife and plant life around The Blade, at the top of Whakamarama Rd.

There is a 40-minute family-friendly walking track that takes you through the heart of the area that is being protected by our volunteers.

We will have people on hand to display how we trap pests, guide groups along the trail, and share a sausage sizzle.

Everyone is very welcome!
