Year 8 Ski Camp - 28th and 29th August

Day 1

On the first day Amy, Riley, Charlie, Amy’s dad, and I decided to go up the gondola. There was a blue run a red run and a black run. Charlie and Riley persisted we go down the deathly black run. Amy and I were hesitant but decided to give it a go. We get down to the first slope, I took a breath and follow the rest of the crew. Amy and I go down like flies but quickly get back up and continue the course. We get further down and there's some pretty big jumps, Riley and Charlie go first getting a ton of air. I go next, then amy. I had such an amazing time it was the highlight of my trip.

We finished up skiing and made our way down to the chateau. It was very luxurious; the outside of the building was beautiful and kept in pristine condition. I ordered a burger and fries for dinner followed by a brownie and icecream. I had a blast with my friends and hearing funny stories from adults.

Day 2

We got out on the mountain but the weather was foggy snowing and cold. So I didn’t go too far up the mountain like yesterday. Kayla and I skied down happy valley, I gave her some tips on how to parallel ski and she did really well. We all jumped on the bus and started the long journey home. We were laughing and chatting away, having such a fun time. We started playing some songs near the end and we were all singing out of tune. I said my farewells and headed home.

We would all love to thank the parents for taking the time to come and ski/help us students throughout camp. Without you parents this camp wouldn’t have happened.
