On Friday afternoon Paul Goodwin and Danette McKeown visited the Year 12 Biology class. We went down to the Taumatakahu stream at the back of the field where they showed us how to collect eDNA. This environmental DNA can tell us exactly how many different species (including humans) interact with our stream and therefore gives us a good idea of how healthy it is.
