Opihi College Senior Boys Basketball Team Wins B Grade!

The Senior Boys Basketball team has brought immense pride to our school this year by clinching the B Grade Championship last Friday night. The team, under the guidance of Coach Pablo Seijas, went undefeated throughout the season, demonstrating not only their impressive skill but also their unwavering dedication to the game.

From the very first game, it was evident that this team had something special. With a blend of seasoned players and emerging talents, they played as a tight unit against a variety of opponents. 

Throughout the season, the boys displayed respect for their opponents and referees, embodying the true spirit of basketball. Their conduct on and off the court has been a shining example of what it means to represent our school with pride.

Coach Pablo Seijas played a pivotal role in this success. His leadership, encouragement, and tactical knowledge were instrumental in the team’s triumph. 

A special mention must also go to the dedicated supporters of whānau, friends and school staff who rallied behind the team throughout the season. The energy and enthusiasm from the stands provided the boys with an extra boost, particularly during the tougher matches. 

This achievement is not just a testament to the talent on the team but also to the hard work and dedication they have invested in their craft. The entire school community is incredibly proud of what the senior boys basketball team has accomplished this year.
