Campbell & Stuart on my Dad’s side.
My husband and I moved from Wellington to Howick 23 years ago. My daughter is an artist in Hong Kong and my son is an Apprentice Carpenter.I jumped on the OJC waka in October 2018 as a Learning Coach. I love learning everyday at OJC with students and staff.
My interests include supporting my whanau and iwi, photography, theatre and Maori arts, historic novels, singing, plonking on a guitar, dancing, rocketry. I enjoy learning about technology tools. I love being near the sea, animals, live music and meeting people of different cultures.
Before working at OJC I was 7 years at Pakuranga College as a Maori and Pasifika Academic Mentor I was a Director Lead Programme Designer and Facilitator in an Education business; a Facilitator of Youth Leadership Programmes throughout NZ and a primary teacher.
My passion in education is to empower young people to recognise their dreams, develop their superpowers and grow as confident and respectful members of our community.
