This term OJC announced its Student Leaders
OJC learner Wesley Key talks us through the role of the Student Leadership Team.
Last term, Ormiston Junior College had the pleasure of introducing eight Year 10s as their first OJC Student Leadership team. Four students from each Kainga were chosen and work closely with Kainga Designers - Bonnie and Fred. The leaders have been appointed with the responsibility of hosting and planning our Wednesday afternoon assemblies. During the assembly the leaders have been targeting and unpacking the ‘We Believes’ which are 13 beliefs that are at the core of what we do at OJC. They have been trying to achieve this by focusing on one ‘We Believe’ every two weeks with the aim of developing a deeper understanding with the students at OJC.
The OJC Student Leadership have also initiated the inaugural OJC Sports Council with the support of Mike Mansell. This council will act as the voice for students on sporting matters and will work with Mike to organise and run sport activities for all student. The leaders of OJC are looking forward to the new terms and the challenges that they will face throughout term 3.
