Ormiston Junior College —

I look forward to being part of OJC, connecting with my fellow educators, the students and the local community to build a strong sense of whanau.

I am a huge sports fan, mainly football (soccer), basketball, rugby and American football. There is nothing quite like the spirit of being at a game and feeling the excitement in the air. At OJC I intend to be a part of sports extra-curricular’s to build strong relationships with the learners at the school.

Music is something I really enjoy as well. As someone who plays the drums, I love how alive the instrument is and how it can become an extension of you.

Being an uncle of 10+ nieces and nephews I have loved seeing how young minds grow and develop through curiosity, trial and error, and exploration. I look forward to seeing and being a part of this at OJC.

Like many people in Auckland, I am a migrant. I came over with my family in 2003 from Zimbabwe and began High School the following year. Throughout high school I really enjoyed Social Science and Geography. For me, Geography has developed a desire to learn about people, places and the natural environment; in doing so I have gotten to understand why the world is the way it is.

I begin my journey into education at OJC after completing a BSc in Geology and Geography, a Post Graduate Diploma in Earth Science and a Graduate Diploma in Secondary Teaching from. The University of Auckland.
