Spirit Day 2021

Ormiston Junior College —

This week culminated with the annual spirit day event where each of our now six Kāinga reflected their Kāinga narratives and identities within their costumes, their chant battle and in the rotation tabloids that Learning Coaches designed to highlight our school values, followed by the eagerly awaithed chant battle and "best dressed" judgements.

The day also marked the debut Kāinga Shield event for our two new Kāinga, Whetū and Marama who added additional colours to the mix this year. Final results today were as follows...

Our thanks to our Learning Coaches for designing such a wide range of indoor and outdoor tabloids to deliver key messages over the day, to the Kāinga Design team for their coordination and logistics for the day, and most importantly to all our learners for bringing that magical spirit that makes this day such a highlight of the year.
