I am currently in my second year of teaching and am enjoying learning to provide a range of learning experiences to the students at OJC. I was thrilled to start working at OJC as the learning is very different to what I did when I was at school. I find the focus on developing learning choice and creating agentic learning exciting and also challenging as a new teacher.

I made the move into teaching in 2020 after almost two decades in the Sport and Leisure industry. The area I specialised in was running the operations at a variety of swimming pool complexes throughout Auckland, Hamilton and Christchurch. The skills and experiences from my previous work history have been very helpful with my role as a learning coach, but my journey in education is still young. So I am looking forward to learning as much as I can so that I can provide the best support I can to the learners at OJC.
