Kāinga Spirit Day 2022

ORMISTON JUNIOR COLLEGE —

This week culminated with the annual and highly contested spirit day event where each of our six Kāinga reflected their Kāinga narratives and identities within their costumes, their chant performances and in the rotation tabloids that Learning Coaches designed to highlight our school values, finishing off with the eagerly awaited "chant-off" and "best dressed" judgements.

The day also marked the debut of  Kāinga Shield events for 2022. Final results today were as follows...

  • 1st = Manu & Kapua (first equal)
  • 2nd = Aumoana
  • 3rd = Tohorā
  • 4th = Marama
  • 5th = Whetū
