Virtual Reality with the Sir Peter Blake Trust
Sir Peter Blake was an inspirational leader in NZ and his inspiration still lives on...
On the 15th of February, a number of learners were offered the opportunity to become part of the ‘underwater world’ through Virtual Reality, with the Sir Peter Blake Trust.
Diving through underwater marine reserves, exploring a variety of inlets in the North Island and seeing the effect humans have on our world by experiencing the bottom of the sea at Leigh, learners were made aware of our beautiful world beneath the ocean all through VR headsets.
“Woah..!” was a common phrase heard as learners were asked to stay seated, in the event they would ‘wander off’ during their exploration of the ocean!
It was a memorable event as learners experienced the influence of technology in learning about the world around us.
