Ormiston Junior College —

Kia ora! Ko wai ahau? Who am I? I am the youngest of five children. Four boys and one girl. I was born and raised in Rotorua, Bay of Plenty and then moved to Mount Maunganui where my mother’s family is from.

My mother’s iwi (tribe) is Ngai te rangi and my father's is tuhoe and tuwharetoa.

I am a keen surfer, a frustrated golfer and a lover of music. I have been in two bands, one as the drummer and one as the singer. I played high school volleyball as part of the successful Western Heights High School team and shifted my focus to club rugby after that. I was fortunate enough to finish my rugby playing in China.

I love travelling and have been fortunate to see much of the world, mostly with my wife Lesley who also a teaches at OJC.
We recently moved back from China last year, where I worked as a PE Teacher/sports coordinator and coach for five years.

Since moving back to New Zealand in August of 2017 I have worked as a learning coach and sport coordinator at Ormiston Junior College, where I will continue to work into 2018.

I am passionate about encouraging participation of students in sport, and enabling them to develop their skills and reach their goals not only in sport but in life.

I believe in the OJC philosophy and I am excited for whatever the future has in store.
