Year 8 student Eugene Janssen writes about his experiences this season.

This term we have been playing basketball against other school teams. Our forwards this term were Richard, Declan, myself and Zavier. Our guards were Shantia, Rudi, Clovis, Tomas, Shaun & Rohullah. We had many new players this year and our goal was to focus on growing our team culture and making sure our game flowed. 

We have been doing well as a team with our practices that include everyone in the team working together. We have focused on doing a lot of drills like layups, drives to the hoops, working on our positioning and shooting. Our games have been going great we have only lost one game this season. 

Thank you to all the parents for attending the games and also getting the participants to and from the venue. Special thanks to our captain Zavier Lichtwark for his leadership and lastly coach Mr. Strickson for his time, all his hard work and effort to make our team perform to their best levels. At the time of writing this report we are days away from playing in our grand final against Mission Heights.
