Outdoor Education Whanau Ora

During this Whanau Ora option students had to get in groups and compete against each other competitively while remaining a positive sportsmanship attitude toward others.

Outdoor Education is all about companionship and the wellbeing of themselves and the people around them. Recently Ormiston Junior College “Outdoor Education” Whanau Ora module that was held by Michael Talaepa, we went on an exciting trip to the Hunua Falls Tramp with the help of Lesley, Nyla and Toa. The point of this trip is to increase interest in nature, geography and teamwork skills among the year 7-10 students. Participants had to walk for 3 hours and at the end, students had to get into groups and reflect on their Hauora and we could do better to improve communication skills.
