OJC Performs in the Auckland Arts Festival

This was not your ordinary drama class. This was not an average theater production.

This was a truly authentic inquiry into the perceptions of the young, and of the old. This was a hui for conversations to take place; a 'showing' to give you a glimpse of the process - the art of storytelling. Directed by award-winning theater-maker Alice Canton, Children Talk About explored what it meant to be courageous. Along with creative producer Julie Zhu, art therapist Lucy Mulholland, and technical operator Ronnie Livingstone, our learners went on a journey of self-discovery through workshops with external experts, and support from Learning Coaches. They presented themselves with sensitivity and vulnerability on stage, yet showing extreme courage to be real, spontaneous, and responsive.

A huge congratulations to all the learners involved in this collaboration - you have done OJC so, so proud!
