Teaching Staff Positions:

1. Learning Coaches (teachers) - English/literacy specialists, 1-2 positions
Full-time, permanent commencing 28th April 2024 or asap in Term 2, 2025.

We are seeking 1-2 secondary English and/or primary literacy specialist (ESOL also considered) teachers to join our world-class team.

We are a rapidly growing school and community working to grow hearts and minds in equal measure with a connected curriculum that balances skills, knowledge, and dispositional growth in all learning contexts. We seek innovative, adaptable, ‘can do’ thinkers who can collaborate within and across diverse curriculum teams. 

Ideally you will need to visit and find out how things work to determine if our environment is right for you. If you want to teach beyond the walls of the ‘classroom’, utilise space and time differently to promote learning outcomes, connect learners to the world around them, inspire kids, push them, form genuine and lasting learning relationships and challenge your own and our learners’ mindsets - then get in touch with us. 

State your passions and strengths beyond the English learning area too. Primary or secondary trained practitioners and PCTs welcome. An opportunity to join an energetic team of staff and over 1400 learners across years 7 -10. 

Strengths in any combination of the following areas & skill-sets may be an advantage but should not exclude any applicant with any other strengths, passions and/or specialisms from submitting their application.Units/allowances available by negotiation for curriculum leadership assistance in key areas identified below:

• leading or co-ordinating ESOL/ELL/MLL funded learner programmes;

• leading literacy; 

• secondary English teaching/leadership; 

• teacher Librarian experience.

2. Learning Coach (teacher) - Mathematics and/or numeracy specialist
Full-time, permanent commencing 28th April 2025 or asap in Term 2, 2025.

We are seeking a secondary Mathematics and/or primary numeracy specialist teacher to join our world-class team.

We are a rapidly growing school and community working to grow hearts and minds in equal measure with a connected curriculum that balances skills, knowledge, and dispositional growth in all learning contexts. We seek innovative, adaptable, ‘can do’ thinkers who can collaborate within and across diverse curriculum teams.

3. Well-being Coach (Social Worker) - teaching role
Commencing: Monday 12th May, 2025 or by negotiation

We are seeking a self motivated, qualified and culturally-capable Teacher -Social Worker to cover maternity leave for a fixed period of one year from Monday 12th May 2025. 

Join our school-based learner wellbeing services provision, and work within our experienced wellbeing and pastoral care team, together, delivering learner wellbeing services at our school.

You will engage with wider external networks and wrap-around services as needed to benefit our learners. The ideal candidate will have some experience in this field; empathy and understanding of our unique learning context and the ability to relate to Year 7-10 learners with diverse needs. 

The applicant must hold a current registration with ANZASW/SWRB NZ and teacher practicing certificate with the teaching council, Matatū Aotearoa. 

The applicant will be comfortable working within the bicultural Code of Ethics and objects of the Aotearoa NZ Association of Social Workers. The applicant must also bring strong communication skills and hold a full NZ drivers’ licence.

Expressions of interest are always welcome from experienced or beginning teachers interested in day-to-day cover as a Learning Coach in our relief pool. Applicants must be a registered and certificated teacher with the Matatū Aotearoa (Teaching Council, New Zealand).
