Natalie Fowler | Kāinga Designer

I started my teaching career at Papatoetoe East Primary School, where I worked as a classroom teacher, working with students in Years 4-6. After eight years of primary teaching, at the end of 2020, I felt it was time for a change. I decided to pursue a role at OJC as the perfect next challenge for me and I am so thankful I made that decision!

My favourite part of being a Learning Coach is working alongside learners and mentoring them in extra curricular area. I like to encourage all students to get involved, whether performing, joining a sports team or taking part in outdoor education experiences. I believe that through these opportunities, learners are able to develop their self confidence as well as their ability to collaborate, empathise and step out of their comfort zone.
