Flying High in Year 7 AIP

For our last term of our very first year, our foundation year 7 students took their learning to all new heights.  For many of our learners the core concepts driving AIP started to take shape.  Most of our learners ran their inquiries as individuals or in groups and then made great choices about how they would then demonstrate this learning.  This marks a change on how our learners are talking and thinking about AIP.  Instead of focusing totally on the end product of expo, our young guns were focusing on their learning. As this gathered momentum, many of them were lost in detailed thinking and collecting information.  Learning new things, and developing new skills in digital literacy became the name of the game.

For expo, our learners started to therefore display their learning in full.  Instead of just showing a project that represented just a few weeks work, they started to show all the had achieved across a 2 term period.  

Small but important steps forward from our youngest learners and a great way to end the year.
