Banqer Primary is a Financial Literacy programme that some classes are adopting this term.

Students will be learning about money in lots of different ways. Being able to make sensible financial decisions is an important life skill. 

Through Banqer every student in the class has their very own online virtual bank account, and as a class they will learn about, and experience first-hand, a variety of different financial concepts such as income, tax, KiwiSaver and expenses.

Each student has a pretend bank account. They have to earn money and can do this by applying for one of the classroom jobs. As well as earning money they can also lose money by being fined, paying tax etc.

They are certainly motivated and engaged.
