We Welcome Our New Staff

OBHS —

We would like to welcome our new staff to the Otago Boys' High School team.

Wayne Angus - Director of International Students

We are pleased to welcome Wayne Angus as the new Director of International Students. Wayne was born and educated in Dunedin and has worked for over twenty years at the University of Otago in various roles, primarily focusing on international marketing and student recruitment. Wayne is looking forward to working as part of a strong team providing outstanding personal and academic support for international students.

Charlie Scott - Physical Education

I am a teacher of Physical Education who has worked previously at schools in Australia, England and Dunedin. Some of you may have seen me around the school throughout 2018, when I was a Day Relief Teacher as well as a sports coach.

Originating from Queensland, Australia, I love travelling and have lived in four different countries. I’ve worked in schools of differing socio-economic backgrounds and in different cultures and enjoy the challenge of adapting to this. My wife and I have now settled in Dunedin and are excited to call this beautiful corner of the world our home.

I have a passion for sport in general and coach rugby here at OBHS. I am looking forward to getting to know more of you throughout 2019.

Anthony Sewell - Mathematics

My name is Anthony Sewell and I am looking forward to teaching Mathematics at Otago Boys' High School. Originally I am from Oamaru and did my tertiary education at Otago University. I then completed my teaching diploma at Canterbury University before spending the last 5 years teaching Science and Mathematics at Matamata College. After getting married and starting a family (I have a gorgeous 7 month old daughter) we decided it was time to get closer to family again and were very excited to move into our own home in Dunedin. Both our parents live in Oamaru so they are excited to have their Granddaughter just down the road.I am very passionate about sport with my main interests being Cricket, Rugby and Basketball. I look forward to being involved where I can with sport at Otago Boys' High School.

Hamish Robb - Physics/Science

I am teaching Physics and Science this year having moved down from a 12 year stint in Queenstown.

I love the outdoors and whether it be skiing, kayaking, mountain biking or running I try to fit in what I can. Prior to having my own family, I combined a lot of these pursuits in competitive multisport racing which included a number of Coast to Coast Longest Day races, 24 hour adventure races and Kepler Challenge runs. Winter adventures have generally involved snow with skiing in the Andes and in Kashmir being particular highlights.

Having studied at Otago University and it being where a lot of my outdoor pursuits were fostered, I'm really looking forward to being back in Dunedin and contributing to the opportunities available at Otago Boys' and the wider community.
