A number of our rowers competed in the R2K regatta in the first weekend of the school holidays at Lake Ruataniwha. This regatta was combined with the Inter Provincial Regatta and we achieved some great results.

In the R2K regatta Grayson Small and Henry Kirk finished 3rd and 5th in the Under 17 A final race. Peter Rowe, William Haley and Reuben Cook raced in the Under 19 age group. Peter finished 7th and Reuben won the A final of the Under 19 A final, taking home a brand new set of sculling oars.

Otago claimed an upset win at the Inter Provincial Regatta claiming overall points ahead of a much bigger team from Canterbury.

The boys now start their full rowing season program in term 4 with Otago Boys' High School and will attend 3 regattas before school ends in December.
