OBHS Choir Looking #

Konrad Hanson —

Last night, the choir performed five of their songs to whanau, to show what they have been up to in term one.

It was great to see a good turnout of family and friends to support these young men. With a number of new boys in the choir this year, it has been wonderful to see them working hard to get up to speed. Getting five pieces on their way in term one is a good effort.

The boys are working towards The Big Sing on the 14th of June at the town hall. We will have another performance evening prior to the Big Sing where we will perform with the OGHS Choir and the combined OBHS/OGHS Choir. It will be a great opportunity to come and see them perform their Big Sing repertoire and wish them well for the competition. After the disappointment of last year's cancelled performances, it will be great to see the boys back on stage at the town hall in June.

I would like to say a big thank you to choir director Ben Madden for the hard work he is putting in with the choirs, and Mark Wigglesworth, who has come on board as our new accompanist.
