Year 12 student Thomas Grant and Logan Whitty (Year 10) have been selected as representatives from the Otago region and will fly to Wellington on an all expenses paid trip to be hosted by NZ Rugby to referee in the New Zealand Rippa Rugby Finals. 

They will also receive mentoring from professional referees: Mike Fraser, Ben O’Keefe and Brendon Pickerill. Thomas is a 2nd year referee while this is Logan’s first year.
