In the early hours of Sunday morning, Noah Oseki, Nick Wright, Richard Wang and Aaron Nelson competed in an online international chess tournament, which included players from Mexico, Chile, UAE, South Africa and Ecuador.

In the Year 12 and 13 section, Richard came first, Noah third, and Nick came 7th, out of 35 players.

In the Year 10 and 11 section, Aaron came 7th out of 18 players. This was an excellent result considering that the players from New Zealand had to start playing at 2am and completed their matches at 5.30 that morning.

Noah must be thanked for putting a team together and doing all the organization. It was a great experience for everybody involved.
