Players from the Senior Blues and Whites cricket teams had the privilege to meet and talk about all things cricket with OBHS Old Boy, former Otago Volts and Blackcaps Coach Mike Hesson on Wednesday.

Mike spoke about his playing days at OBHS, coaching the Blackcaps as well as his recent involvement in the IPL. He also offered his thoughts and advice about preparing for and playing at tournaments. The boys thoroughly enjoyed the discussion and asked plenty of questions ranging from what's life like as a professional sportsman to did Glenn Maxwell really just fall off the back of the golf cart at the recent World Cup?

The OBHS 1st XI travels to Lincoln University to compete in the Gillette Cup finals from 17 - 22 December 2023.
