A Message From The Rector

R Hall —

To engage young men, you must first enjoy their company. I do.

They can be exasperating, but also humourous, sincere, insightful, eminently fair-minded and always honest. Our best teachers understand this too; more importantly they actively cultivate the best traits of their students. They do this through the curriculum, what they teach, as well as how they teach it. By combining these two skills they drive student achievement skywards.

This term, I believe, we have seen significant development in our school. The term has flown by- both inside and outside of the classroom and student achievement, shown through our strong test and assignment scores, indicates real improvement.

I encourage you all to enjoy this well earned holiday break. Keep your son engaged in a range of activities, allow him the space to 'de-programme', but do not allow him to switch off. He might not get started again!

I am really proud of our achievements as a school to date and I look forward to the renewed energy and vigour that only a school for young men can have.

Richard Hall
