Year 13 student  Kristin Smith is participating in the Gateway programme and is hosted by Aotea Electric.

I am currently in Year 13 and am supported on the Gateway programme by Aotea Electric.

During placement every Friday, I travel around different job sites in Dunedin. I have met a lot of new employees in the short time I have worked with Aotea. I have learnt many new skills and gained experience in wiring up switches and putting in temporary power for building sites.

Aotea has given me valuable experience out in the work force and I would highly recommend the Gateway programme.
