Sister City Japanese Speech Competition

OBHS —

Congratulations to Year 13 student William Bryant who this week won the Senior Section of the Dunedin Otaru Sister City Japanese Speech Competition.

The level of entrants was extremely high. Will was required to give a five minute speech in which he spoke enthusiastically about his food experiences in Japan, followed by a three minute Question and Answer session all in Japanese.

His prize is a trip to Japan where he will compete with students from High Schools from approximately 19 countries in the Japanese Speech Award as well as taking part in language and culture workshops.
