Up against the wit and intellect of Otago and Southland’s best school debaters, our team of Liam Connolly, Sam Hewson and Colby Allen have come away as champions for 2019!

In recognition of the tremendous collective talent within this team, Sam Hewson received a Highly Commended award, Liam Connolly was named in the Otago Development Squad and Colby Allen was named in the Otago Regional Team which will attend Nationals later in the year. Colby also had the honour of being crowned Best Speaker of the entire tournament!
