During the recent school holidays, a number of OBHS students were selected for Otago Rugby League representative teams.

The following students were selected in the Under 16 team:
Mason Lome-Hindle, Tepuretu Piri, Manaia Lesa, Memento Mason, Ruban McGregor, Sione Takataka, Te Ava A Katu Nicholas, Hoani Taimale and Preston Talamivao Tomkinson.

Playing well through the tournament, the team qualified for the final. They were defeated by a very strong Canterbury team. A number of these boys had also previously played in the Otago team earlier in the year, qualifying for the national tournament held in Auckland.

Year 10 student Alex Corbett was selected for the Otago Under 14 team who also competed at the tournament.
