Nicholas Finnie and Teddy Finney-Waters achieved wonderful success competing in the Dunedin Junior Vocal Competition, held at the Dunedin Entertainers Club.

Teddy took home every trophy he was competing for, with:

• 1st in Vocal Solo
• 1st in Sacred Song
• 1st in National Song
• 1st in Test Song
• $100 scholarship for the 14-16 year section
• $100 prize for the 14-U18 Most Promising Singer

Competing in the senior section, Nicholas gained:

• 3rd in Musical Theatre
• 2nd in Vocal Solo
• 2nd in Sacred Song
• 2nd in National Song
• Received the top prize of the competition with 1st in the Regent Theatre Music Recital, and with it came a $200 prize.

Nicholas and Teddy are really promising singers who have achieved plenty of success already. As a Year 11 student, Teddy will be able to compete in many more competitions over the next two years. Nicholas - Year 13 - has recently been accepted into Otago University's Classical Singing programme. These are two talented young men.
