Year 13 student Tim Howard is participating in the Gateway programme and is hosted by Steve Mowat Builders.

I am currently on the Gateway programme and go out to placement weekly on a Friday.

Since starting at Steve Mowat’s I have worked on residential properties, DCC repairs and maintenance and also commercial buildings. Jobs include laying new floor boards and putting up framing.

The programme is great for gaining practical experience and helps to make your CV stand out.
