We would like to welcome our new staff to the Otago Boys' High School team.

Elaine Kelly

Elaine Kelly is the new Teacher In Charge of Languages. She has come from Hutt Valley High where she was Assistant HOD. Elaine has lived and worked in many countries including the UK, France, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. She came to NZ in 2004 and has previously taught at Auckland Boys Grammar and Columba College. She moves to Dunedin with her husband and eight year old daughter. Her passions include cookery, theatre, cinema and travel. 

Matthew Markham

Matthew has joined us as Director of Boarding from St Paul's Collegiate School in Hamilton, where he was Head of Social Sciences for the past three years. Prior to this he led one of the three boys boarding houses at St Paul's for four years. Before starting at St Paul's, Matthew taught Geography and History at Westlake Boys High School on the North Shore of Auckland and also Auckland Grammar School. Throughout his teaching career he has been heavily involved in cricket and rugby and was the TIC of both codes at St Paul's as well as managing the 1st XV.

Alastair Campbell

I have moved from Palmerston North Boys' High School where I was HOD History and Year 11 Dean to become Head of Social Sciences at OBHS. I have taught for over 15 years in the North Island and it was time to move south.

My family is a wife, Demelza and a crazy corgi, Sydney. We already love Dunedin, especially the beaches and look forward to exploring further.

My main interests are rock climbing, mountaineering, golf and any sport I can offer an opinion on. I look forward to becoming part of the OBHS community.

Matthew Dadley

Teacher of English and Year 9 drama. Originally from Dunedin, Mr Dadley was most recently teaching in Suva, Fiji, and regrets leaving behind most of his short-sleeved shirts.

Jordy Wansink 

Jordy has joined Otago Boys' this year to teach English, Years 9 - 11.

A Dunedin native, she recently completed her Masters of Teaching and Learning at Otago University.

With two children in local pre-/schools, she looks forward to working with both the boys and their whanau throughout this year.

Brigid Allan

A teacher, practicing artist and founder of 'Empty Spaces', the street art project in Te Kuiti, I am looking forward to this opportunity to share my passion with the Visual Art students of Otago Boys' High School. 

Having recently moved to Dunedin from Whaingaroa with my family, I am also a keen adventurer in the more wild parts of New Zealand's National Parks.
