Congratulations Rhys Woods, Otago Boys’ alumni and Dux of 2011.

Rhys was a high flyer at Otago Boys’ and after completing his Year 13 year moved to Edinburgh with his family – including brothers Lachlan and Clayton (also students of Otago Boys').

Last week Rhys graduated with his four year bachelor degree.

Rhys came out as top scholar in his Medical Science course over all four years.

For this brilliant achievement - Rhys won a full scholarship to Oxford University to complete his PhD in the study of Hepatitis. All fees/tuition are paid for and he has a room in Oriel College, plus he has gained £18000 a year stipend. Paid to study!

The PhD programme Rhys is undertaking - also involves him working at Beijing You’an Hospital in China.
