Congratulations to Year 9 student Ryan Dey who recorded a number of personal best times at the National New Zealand Secondary Schools Swimming Championships held in Wellington recently.

A huge learning experience with 6 sessions and 8 races over 3 full days. Ryan thoroughly enjoyed every moment.

He came away with 6 personal best times, 4 top 10 placings for his age group with the following results:

50m Breaststroke - 10th
200m Freestyle - 9th
100m Butterfly - 8th
50m Butterfly - 5th
50m Freestyle - 21st
50m Backstroke - 15th
200m Individual Relay - 14th
100m Individual Relay - 13th

Ryan's  wish is to get a few more Otago Boys' boys together to make a team and compete in the relays next year!
