Recently, a small group of students went to the Mt Aspiring Lodge to work with Malcolm Taylor from Contact Energy to design our micro-hydro electricity turbine. 

The boys and Malcolm have come up with two potential designs, one to meet current electricity demand and one to provide additional heating over winter.

Now that we have a viable plan, we have started to work on Resource Consents, and pricing up the materials needed.
