Recently I have been given the opportunity to head out to a building site every Friday in the hope to gain some experience and knowledge of the building industry.

I am lucky enough to be working on a new build in Deborah Bay and have now been out on the tools for two full days where currently we are building the boxing and putting together the reinforcing steel for the concrete foundations. 

I would like to thank Bevan Palmer and his company Southern Coastal Construction for hosting me. Also, many thanks to Ms Irving and Mrs Mason for organising and making this experience possible.

I look forward to seeing where this opportunity will take me in my career.
