The Spirit of Adventure, one of the great youth adventures in New Zealand is offering opportunities for three of our boys to take part in voyages over the summer holidays.

Three sailings are on offer - all around the South Island, they are as follows:

790     6 January - 15 January,  Nelson - Picton

We have been very lucky in recent years to help so many of our boys get onto the Spirit. One of our boys who most recently took part was Jack Tinkler. His reflection can be read here.

I'm Jack Tinkler. At the start of this year, I was lucky enough to be offered a full scholarship to attend the Spirit Of Adventure on a 10 day programme in which we sailed from Lyttelton Harbour in Christchurch, all the way down to Bluff Harbour, which we sailed around and into parts of Stewart Island. 

This was an amazing opportunity for me, which would have taken a lot of fundraising and hard work to save up for if I wasn't offered the scholarship. This trip helped me improve my leadership skills, social skills and I gained some lifelong friends from all around the country. 

This was a once in a lifetime opportunity and has helped me further my development into a young responsible man. 

I would highly recommend The Spirit of Adventure to anyone who ever gets the chance to attend.
