Curriculum Enrichment Week

Mark Hooper —

Through this last week of Term 2, our junior boys have been working in groups to tackle questions around the hot debate of "The Future Environment of Dunedin".

Groups formed their own rich questions and through a rigorous process of inquiry learning they researched, designed, solved problems around future transport, sea level rise, climate change, green spaces, art in the city, eco housing, power sources and beaches. Mayor David Cull was generous enough to spend nearly an hour of his time with a group investigating the future of erosion at St Clair.

It's been a learning journey for students and staff. The boys have embraced this way of learning. A community wide Open Day to present the boys findings on these important local issues will be held on Thursday 15th September from 12 midday to 3pm.
