Congratulations to Year 11 student Alexander Grant, the 2016 winner of the NEWZATS (NZ Association of Teachers of Singing) Aparima Senior Awards at Marama Hall, Otago University last Sunday.

Years 11-13 contestants in this prestigious Otago/Southland event sang two contrasting songs for adjudicator Janice Webb QSM from Auckland.  

In recent years OBHS has been well represented in the placings and commendations.  Callum Fisher, Ben Madden, Sam Madden, Scott Bezett, Tom Mottershead, Thomas McCabe, Luke McKinstry, Matariki Pakaua, Connor Blackie have all been strong contestants.
