When I put my name down for the 2017 Otago Boys' and Otago Girls' production I was expecting a lot. Having participated last year, I didn’t think It could be much better than our previous performance.

Sadly the end of the term sees us say goodbye to three international students.

Disappointing. Distracting. Dysfunctional.

Seven of our Gateway students joined forty others from Otago Schools to attend the BCITO Big Construction Tour last week. 

The South Island Brain Bee Championship was held at the Hutton Theatre on Tuesday.

Mr Gabbusch and his Year 9 Literacy class have been regulars this term in the library and it has been great seeing them working on their reading logs and discussing their books with them. Their last class together was spent eating a delicious shared morning tea, discussing books and reading some Shaun Tan out loud together. Good fun.

Last week Liam Turner, Cameron Miller, Anton Schroder and Nathan Hill were part of the 52 strong NZ Athletic team, who competed with another 550 athletes from 24 countries at the Oceania Games in Suva.

Congratulations to Year 12 student Luke Martin who has been selected to the Youth Mens South Island Volleyball Team.
