Now is the time. A new era with a bold vision for the next step in Otago Boys' High Schools journey.

What Otago Boys' is today, and aspires to be in the future, is only possible because of our wide community of support and the generosity of Old Boys' and other benefactors, past and present

Memberships and Donations

The Otago Boys' High School Foundation was officially established in June 2005 with progress made in tracking Old Boys, developing a 'calendar of events', rekindling contact between the school and its alumni, and in generating a funding base all highly encouraging.

Levels of membership:

James Macandrew Society: $100,000-plus

Sir Archibald McIndoe Bequest Society: membership of this branch of the Foundation's armoury is by way of bequests of cash, property, shares, stocks, bonds, debentures, notes, real estate, residuary or the whole of an estate

Trustee: $30,000 to $99,999.99

Senior Fellow: $15,000 - $29,999.99

Fellow: $6,000 - $14,999.99

Associate Fellow: $3,000 - $5,999.99

Friend: Any amount up to $2,999.99

Old Boys' Society Life Membership: A one-off payment of $350 (with a portion of this funding assisting with the on-going administration costs of the Old Boys' Society)

One-off donations: these are also welcome and many Old Boys have made a donation as they contemplate a longer-term commitment to the Foundation.

The payment of pledges, other than the Friend and Old Boys' categories, are generally spread over a time frame tailored to suit each individual benefactor. Each Old Boy has his own requirements and the Foundation works closely with every individual to ensure their needs are catered for.

Pledges and donations can be directed to a number of areas including the likes of building funds, endowment funds, bequests and archives, and scholarships while there is also provision to make a contribution through gifts of property and rural support.

All donations are eligible for tax benefits. As of 1st April 2008 all charitable donations up to 100% of a taxpayer's net income will attract a 33 1/3% rebate.

All those granted membership of the Foundation become members for life
