The first full academic week of the year has passed. Yesterday also saw the publication of the first Interim Report for the year.

This morning at senior assembly, Rector, Mr Hall announced this year's Prefects and presented them with their badge and tie.

Last week a group of staff and students met with Mr Peter Christophers, The Principle Consent Officer at the ORC, who is an old boy who shared with us his memories of 4th form camp and winter ski trips to the Lodge.

This morning, our school houses presented their leaders at their respective house assemblies, comprising school prefects, form leaders, a deputy and leader of house too.

On Sunday the Zorb Ball arrived at Littlebourne, much to the delight of the hostel boys.

On Tuesday students had the chance to visit the Defence Forces bus as part of their future career planning.

This week OBHS defeated John McGlashan College 6 - nil to win the Otago Secondary Schools Regional Tennis final. Otago Boys' will now progress to the South Island finals which will be held in Timaru later this month.

In a great game played in excellent conditions the Year 10B had a narrow victory over their Year 9 counterparts last Saturday. 

Monday saw the first summer interschool fixture for the year held in superb conditions.

The annual summer Interschool with Waitaki Boys' High School will be held in Dunedin on Tuesday 20 February.

Monday 5 March is a city wide professional development day for all teachers.

As much as possible, could boys and parents please make all medical, (off site) physio, dentist and driving lesson appointments for students out of school time. These one off, but sometimes frequent absences during the year can have a considerable impact on student learning. Your support is appreciated.
