Sad News
Allan G. L. Smith (1944–46) passed away on Friday 18 January.
He was one of the longest-serving and most loyal members of the North Canterbury Branch of the Otago Boys' High School Old Boys’ Association.
Allan was a Life Member of the Branch, having joined in 1969, and served two terms as President.
Over all those years he maintained a 90% attendance record at all committee meetings and functions, was a tireless worker behind the scenes and a most genial host.
Allan was always particularly welcoming to new, younger members and was always able to bridge with ease their age gap of several generations. We shall sorely miss him.
