150th Hostel Reunion Update

We are now in July and the celebrations are closing in fast. I am pleased to report that registrations are steadily coming in with an expectation of well over 200 Old Boys attending. When you add to that the many partners who will also be at both functions, we are in for a great weekend.

Registrations and Payments

For those who have not registered please complete the Online Form on our website.

A reminder to all those who have registered but have not paid for the events, this needs to be done by Friday 30 July. The costs are as follows:

  • Registration $50.00
  • Saturday’s Function $25.00 per person
  • Sunday's Dinner $50.00 per person.

Payment for registrations and events can be made to the following
bank account: ANZ - 06 0901 0391707 001 - Please ensure you reference your full name and "reunion". Payment is required to confirm registration.

Merchandise

The merchandise is now ready for sale. All three items have logos indicating the Hostel 150th Reunion so they will be wonderful momentos of the celebrations. To view and order the items online please click here.

All items will be available in your registration packs on the Saturday afternoon, 23 October, at the Hostel.

We are also pleased to inform you that an 18 page booklet has been prepared by a former hostel master, Gregor Macaulay, recording historical information regarding the hostel over the past 150 years. A copy of this booklet will be placed in your registration pack.

Notable Registrations

It is pleasing to see that John Billcliff and his wife Glenda will be making the trip down from Nelson for the celebrations. John was a master at Campbell House from 1967-69, long time Science and Chemistry teacher at OBHS, and a successful coach of the 1st Cricket XI for many years.

Also attending will be the well known Billy Trewern, who managed School House from 1980-84, taught Science and Physics at OBHS, and was a very successful golf coach for a number of years. Both gentleman are making a special effort to join us all on this special occasion.
