Another financial year has ended with another close to break even result for the Foundation. 

Phillip attended Otago Boys' from 1963-67 he was was Dux in 1967 and also Best All Round Boy. A member of the First Cricket XI, First Basketball Five, leader of the Debating Team, President of the School Council and a Prefect.  

Congratulations to the following Old Boys' who were awarded 2017 Queen's Birthday Honours. 

The Otago Boys' Old Boys' Society held its annual Ambrose Golf Tournament on Friday 7th April at the Balmacewen Golf Club. 

On the 100th anniversary of the Battle of Messines Teddy George a Year 11 student represented Otago Boys' High School.

The childhood dream of South Otago farmer Nigel Woodhead came true  when he won the right to represent Otago/Southland as a Grand Finalist at this year’s 2017 FMG Young Farmer of the Year.

Congratulations to old boy Hisa Sasagi who has been named in a 35 man Manu Samoa squad for the upcoming internationals in June and July. The squad will assemble to build up for tests against the All Blacks, Wales, Tonga and Fiji.

The school had a visit from Young Old Boy Sam Armstrong in conjunction with the ‘What’s my job?’ lunchtime series 2017.

The School Lodge is an integral part of our school community, and it is in need of redevelopment to ensure that it continues to meet the needs of our boys for another 40 years and beyond.

On behalf of our school we would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of our School Fair.  It was a fantastic day to celebrate with our whole school community, as well as welcome the wider community to our special place.

We have  a total of six interschool this winter season, we have completed three and have three home interschools to come against Timaru Boys', Christchurch Boys' and Waitaki Boys'.

Josh Dickson knows he made the right choice when confronted with rugby or basketball as his sport of choice. The 2m lock has Otago rugby blood running through his veins, and that’s the direction he chose coming out of the great southern rugby nursery Otago Boys’ High School.

This weeks assembly saw nine fine young men being recognised for outstanding achievement at national level.
